Brothers of the MAAC came to Annapolis, MD to celebrate 117 years of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

ANNAPOLIS, MD. On December 2, 2023, the Brothers of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, participated in the Mid-Atlantic Association of Alpha Phi Alpha Chapters (MAAC) Annual Brother Cheatham Memorial Founder’s Day Breakfast.

The breakfast took place at the DoubleTree Hotel in Annapolis and the chapter brothers were there en masse to represent as the chapter seated in the host city. The event featured a keynote speech from Brother Andre Hepkins, an Anchor with WBALTV News in Baltimore. His speech, premised on the question of what is Alpha’s role in Civil Rights movement challenged the brotherhood to remind ourselves that Alphas started the Civil Rights Movement and Ended the Civil Rights Movement. Our role today is to carry on that legacy of requiring the best and demanding equity for our communities.
