ALREADY A BROTHER?
By Brother Charles H. Garvin
ESPRIT DE FRATERNITE’

"An Alpha Phi Alpha man’s attitude should not be 'how much can I derive from the Fraternity' but 'how much can I do for the Fraternity?' In proportion to what he does for his Chapter and for Alpha Phi Alpha will a member receive lasting benefits from the Fraternity to himself in the way of self-development by duty well done, and the respect of the Brothers well served.

A member’s duties should be:

  1. Prompt payment of all financial obligations, the prime requisite for successful fraternal life.

  2. The doing of good scholastic work in his chosen vocation, thereby accomplishing the real end of a college course.

  3. The reasonable endeavor to participate in general college activities and social service and to excel therein.

  4. The proper consideration of all things with appropriate attention to the high moral standard of Alpha Phi Alpha."

REACTIVATION | NATIONAL OBLIGATION

Have you left the fold and want to become active again? There might be any number of reasons why you left, however your active participation is wanted and needed. Each brother fulfilling his financial obligation to our dear Fraternity in a consistent and timely manner is paramount to the operation of our organization. As our Fourth General President, Brother Charles Henry Garvin so eloquently stated in Esprit de Fraternite; prompt payment of all financial obligations is the prime requisite for a successful fraternal life. We need a strong fiscally vibrant organization to execute our mission:

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities.

REACTIVATION | CHAPTER AFFILIATION

Brothers, fulfilling our financial obligation to the chapter in our vicinity is equally as important as our obligations to the National organization. Chapter dues contribute to the fixed operational costs the chapter must pay to the district and region. Additionally, chapter dues provide the operating revenue which allows for chapter programming, events and community service. Pay your dues online and become financial today!

Brothers wishing to become financial with Eta Eta Lambda Chapter have multiple options:

  • The standard amount for chapter dues is $200.00 ($10.00 Late fee if paid after November 15th)

  • College brothers within 2 years of undergraduate completion will receive a reduced rate.

  • Senior brothers over the age of 70 with no less than 20 years of chapter membership will have their dues waived.

  • Returning brothers initiated through the chapter will receive a one-time pro-rated payment of chapter dues, plus any late fee.

  • Attend a chapter meeting and remit payment directly to the chapter treasurer or his designee or contact The Chapter Financial Team directly to make specific arrangements
