On January 8, 2026, Alpha Academy conducted its regular in-school session with mentees at Annapolis High School, focusing on financial responsibility. This initiative aimed to equip young individuals with essential financial skills, fostering their development and future success.

The December session of the Alpha Academy Mentor Program engaged over 50 mentees in a series of enriching activities focused on personal finance, chess, engineering, and drone concepts. Through interactive workshops and hands-on learning, participants gained valuable skills and insights that will serve them well in their academic and personal lives.

On Saturday, December 6, Alpha Academy participated in its very first Aerial Drone Competition — Drones in Baltimore . Eleven teams competed, with ours being the only  middle school entry; all others were high school teams. We entered two squads — Red Wings  and Sky Hawks  — each made up of four mentees. The Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was honored with a City Council Citation from the City of Annapolis in recognition of its outstanding service, leadership, and civic engagement within the community. The award was presented during a ceremony at Annapolis City Hall on October 27, 2025, and accepted by Chapter President Brother Michael Bertty on behalf of the chapter.

Throughout the year, the Technology Committee and Graphics Team of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. have worked tirelessly to use digital media as a tool for advocacy, education, and celebration. From health awareness campaigns to cultural observances and community spotlights, our digital content continues to inform, inspire, and engage.

Over the past year, Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has made it a priority to deepen relationships with local fraternities, sororities, and community partners. Through intentional visits and open dialogue, our chapter continues to foster unity, strengthen collaboration, and build bridges that advance shared missions of service, scholarship, and leadership.

In recognition of World Financial Planning Month, members of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. attended a Generational Wealth Building Panel Discussion at the Government House of Maryland in Annapolis. The event, hosted by Maryland First Lady Dawn Moore and Bank of America, brought together community leaders to explore strategies for building legacy and financial resilience within families.
