On March 25, 2026, the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter convened in Annapolis,
MD, to celebrate the remarkable life of Brother Keyes, who lived to
the age of 104. This solemn c

eremony was organized to honor his
contributions and the impact he made throughout his life. As part of
our fraternal tradition, the chapter conducted an induction into the
Omega Chapter, a practice that signifies our respect and remembrance
for our departed brothers.
This celebration of life was not just a farewell but a reaffirmation
of the values that Brother Keyes embodied during his time with us. It
aligned with the chapter's mission of brotherhood and family
engagement, emphasizing the importance of honoring those who have
paved the way for future generations. The gathering served as a
poignant reminder of the bonds that unite us as brothers and the
legacy we carry forward.
Attendees reflected on the profound impact Brother Keyes had on the
lives of many. His dedication to service and community upliftment left
a lasting impression, inspiring those who knew him. The ceremony
provided an opportunity for brothers and community members alike to
share their memories and express their gratitude for his life and
contributions.
As we continue to celebrate the lives of our brothers, we remain
committed to fostering a strong sense of brotherhood and support
within our chapter. The legacy of Brother Keyes will serve as a
guiding light for our ongoing initiatives, reminding us of the
importance of community, mentorship, and the values we uphold as
members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
