On June 21, 2025, brothers of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. joined the community in celebrating freedom, culture, and unity at the Anne Arundel County Juneteenth Festival held at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds.

The chapter hosted an informational tent that served as both a celebration of heritage and an opportunity for outreach. Brothers engaged festival attendees in conversations about the mission and programs of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., including Go to High School, Go to College, Project Alpha, and A Voteless People Is a Hopeless People.

A special emphasis was placed on voter registration and civic participation, as brothers encouraged attendees to ensure their voices are heard in upcoming elections. The chapter also highlighted the work of the Alpha Academy Mentoring Program, sharing how it continues to impact the lives of young men across Anne Arundel County.

Throughout the day, brothers connected with local elected officials in attendance, including Senator Shaneka Henson and Councilman Peter Smith, to discuss ongoing efforts to strengthen community engagement and expand outreach opportunities for youth.

The event was filled with music, fellowship, and meaningful conversation, as Eta Eta Lambda continued its mission of uplifting communities through service, education, and advocacy.
