The Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was honored by Arundel High School with a Volunteer Appreciation Award for the 2024-2025 School Year for its continued impact through the In-School Alpha Academy Program.
The recognition, presented during the school’s Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony, celebrated the chapter’s consistent commitment to engaging with students multiple times a week during lunch sessions. Each meeting provides not only a meal, but also meaningful dialogue centered on topics such as career exploration, financial literacy, goal setting, and leadership skills.
The In-School Alpha Academy Program is one of several educational initiatives supported by the Eta Eta Lambda Foundation, Inc., and is designed to meet students where they are—offering mentorship and guidance during the school day in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Through programs like this, the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter continues to fulfill Alpha Phi Alpha’s national mission of developing leaders, promoting academic excellence, and providing service and advocacy for the community.
