The Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. hosted its annual Community Cookout on August 23, 2025, at Chambers Park in Annapolis, Maryland. The day was filled with great food, music, and fellowship — but most importantly, it showcased how partnership, unity, and service come together to strengthen the community.

The annual Fundraising Crab Feast of The Eta Eta Lambda Foundation, Inc. was once again a huge success — great food, endless laughter, lively dancing, and memories we’ll be talking about for years to come. Thank you to everyone who came out to support, celebrate, and keep this tradition going strong. Until next year!

Every few months, brothers of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. gather for a Brotherhood Smoke—an evening of relaxation, conversation, and connection. These gatherings have become a valued tradition within the chapter, celebrating fellowship while supporting Black-owned cigar lounges throughout the region.

We honor the life of Brother Lester Sims, a cherished member of Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., whose dedication and service left a lasting legacy. Initiated in 1990, Brother Sims' unwavering commitment to brotherhood and community continue to inspire us all. His transition in May 2025 was marked by a heartfelt Omega Service, celebrating his remarkable journey and eternal impact.

On May 11, 2025, brothers of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. proudly marched in the Annapolis Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, honoring the life and legacy of Brother Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and reaffirming their commitment to his vision of equality, justice, and community service.

The Alpha Academy Mentoring Program hosted one of its marquee annual events—the Pinewood Derby Competition at Annapolis High School. This year’s friendly rivalry brought together mentees from Eta Eta Lambda Chapter and Kappa Epsilon Lambda Chapter, sparking excitement, creativity, and camaraderie among students and mentors alike.

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, brothers of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., joined by neighboring Alpha chapters and members of the Divine Nine (D9), participated in the March for Babies—a nationwide initiative under the March of Dimes Foundation. The event raises awareness and funds to improve the health of mothers and babies across the United States.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025 , the brothers of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. , together with the Eta Eta Lambda Foundation, Inc. , rolled into action with their Elite Strikes for Change Bowling Fundraiser  at Crofton Bowl Centre  in Crofton, Maryland. Brothers of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. traveled to McDaniel College to support and celebrate former Alpha Academy mentee, Evan Cowling, as he officially entered the House of Alpha. His induction—an honor rarely achieved by freshmen—reflects his exceptional character, leadership, and the lasting influence of the Alpha Academy Mentoring Program.
