Eta Eta Lambda Hosts 2025 Community Cookout at Chambers Park

What an incredible day at our HHL Community Cookout 2025! Held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Chambers Park in Annapolis, the event brought together families, community members, and leaders for an unforgettable afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship.

The Office of Community Services generously covered all the food, while partners from across Annapolis and beyond pitched in with school supply donations to help students prepare for the upcoming school year. The park was alive with laughter, music, and the unmistakable energy that comes when a community unites around a shared purpose.

We extend heartfelt appreciation to our brothers, sisters across the Divine Nine (D9), city government, and community programs whose support and presence made this event possible. You showed exactly what it looks like when service meets unity.

We were also honored by the presence of several local leaders who took time to celebrate with us, including:

🎶 The Stroll Competition was a major highlight of the day, bringing excitement and fraternity pride to the park. Congratulations to the Brothers of Double O for taking home the $500 prize! Special thanks to our distinguished judges — Alderwoman Rhonda Pindell-Charles, Rhoer Zoe Franze, Vincent Maulden, and Jewel Chambers — for lending their time and energy to make the competition a success.

The cookout was a powerful reminder of what makes the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter and the Eta Eta Lambda Foundation, Inc. so impactful — a commitment to building stronger bonds, uplifting families, and empowering communities.
