The Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. proudly hosted a Mayoral Candidates Forum on Thursday, September 4, 2025, bringing together the candidates seeking to serve as the next mayor of Annapolis. The event provided an open and engaging platform for community members to hear directly from those vying to lead the capital city.

A Night of Civic Engagement and Brotherhood

Held in the spirit of Alpha Phi Alpha’s longstanding commitment to community leadership and social responsibility, the forum was well attended by residents, local leaders, and fraternity brothers. The evening featured thoughtful dialogue, mutual respect, and a genuine desire to move Annapolis forward.

Each candidate had the opportunity to share their vision for the city—addressing issues such as economic development, affordable housing, public safety, environmental stewardship, and education. Attendees were also able to pose questions, express their concerns, and offer feedback directly to those who may soon shape Annapolis’ future.

Empowering the Electorate

The Eta Eta Lambda Chapter believes that informed citizens build stronger communities. By creating space for honest conversation between candidates and constituents, the fraternity continues its mission to promote civic engagement, leadership, and advocacy.

The chapter extends gratitude to all who attended, participated, and helped make the evening a success. Together, we demonstrated that when communities are informed and involved, democracy thrives.
