The food was delicious, the music lively, and the fellowship even better — but what made this day truly special was how our community showed up for each other.
The Office of Community Services generously covered all the food, and partners from across Annapolis and beyond pitched in with school supply donations. Special appreciation to our brothers, sisters, across the D9, city government, and community programs — you showed exactly what it looks like when service meets unity.
We’re especially grateful to local leaders who made time to join us in person. Senator Shaneka Henson, Superintendent Bro. Mark Bedell, Ald. Rhonda Pindell-Charles, Keanuu' Smith-Brown, and Jared Littmann — your presence showed just how important events like this are for building real community connections.
Our stroll competition brought amazing energy to the day! Congratulations to the brothers of Double O for taking home the $500 prize, and a big thank-you to all the participants who brought their best moves and their chapter pride. We’re also grateful to our distinguished judges — Ald. Rhonda Pindell-Charles, Rhoer Zoe Franze, Vincent Maulden, and Jewel Chambers — for lending their time and talent to make the event even more special.
Here’s to building stronger bonds and an even stronger community — one plate, one handshake, and one laugh at a time.
