On May 25, 2025, mentees from the Alpha Academy Mentoring Program, supported by the Eta Eta Lambda Foundation, Inc., participated in an engaging, hands-on workshop hosted by EnBloom.
During the session, students learned key concepts in planting, soil health, and environmental stewardship, guided by EnBloom’s expert instructors. The workshop emphasized the importance of sustainable practices and encouraged students to understand how small actions—like caring for plants and maintaining healthy soil—can have a lasting positive impact on the environment.
The mentees were fully engaged throughout the interactive activities, gaining practical skills while strengthening their appreciation for nature and science. This type of experiential learning aligns perfectly with Alpha Academy’s mission to provide well-rounded educational experiences that blend academic enrichment, personal development, and real-world application.
“Our partnership with EnBloom continues to inspire our young men to connect with science and the environment in a meaningful way. Learning through hands-on activities makes these lessons stick.”— Bro. Michael Ligons - Chair, Eta Eta Lambda Foundation, Inc.
The collaboration between EnBloom and the HHL Foundation remains a cornerstone of Alpha Academy’s spring programming—combining mentorship, education, and community connection for lasting impact.
