Each year, National Night Out brings together residents, community organizations, and law enforcement agencies across the country to strengthen neighborhood relationships and promote safer communities. The nationwide initiative—held annually on the first Tuesday in August—encourages connection, trust, and open dialogue between citizens and police.

This year, members of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. proudly participated in the event hosted by the Anne Arundel County Police Department Eastern District. Brothers were on-site to show support, engage with residents, and bring awareness to suicide prevention—a critical issue that affects families across all communities.

National Night Out serves as a reminder that the best way to build a safer and stronger community is to know your neighbors and remain connected. The Annapolis Alphas were honored to stand alongside law enforcement, local leaders, and families in reinforcing the values of unity and mutual respect.
