Brothers of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. joined the community of Annapolis on May 11, 2025, to participate in the city’s Martin Luther King Jr. Parade — a celebration of unity, hope, and the enduring power of service.

The purpose of the MLK Day Parade is to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., celebrating his tireless fight for racial equality, social justice, and nonviolence. These parades bring communities together to reflect on his impact while renewing a shared commitment to freedom, inclusion, and service to others.

For members of Alpha Phi Alpha, this day holds special meaning. Dr. King, an initiated brother of the fraternity, embodied the fraternity’s aims of Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind. Marching in his honor is both a tribute and a continuation of the work he began.

Eta Eta Lambda was proud to stand among community leaders, youth groups, and fellow citizens in honoring a brother whose dream continues to inspire generations.
