On January 10, 2026 members of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter had the honor of visiting Brother Keyes, our 104-year-old chapter brother, at his assisted living home. This video captures a powerful moment as our Brothers joined him in singing the Fraternity Hymn—a moment filled with meaning, memory, and Brotherhood.
At 104 years young, Brother Keyes remains sharp, witty, and engaging. He kept us smiling with his quick humor, vivid stories, and heartfelt reflections on Brotherhood and life.
Moments like this remind us that Alpha Phi Alpha is living history. We carry a responsibility to honor, support, and learn from the men who paved the way. Their wisdom, resilience, and enduring spirit continue to inspire our service and our commitment to the aims of our Fraternity.
We thank Brother Keyes for welcoming us and sharing his time and spirit. The Brotherhood is strong, and moments like this reaffirm why we serve.
