On the day of one of the most celebrated events in horse racing—the Preakness Stakes—Brothers of Eta Eta Lambda Chapter proudly took part in the Rho Tau Lambda Chapter’s Fourth Annual Alpha Preakness fundraising celebration in Baltimore, Maryland. This exciting event, held concurrent with the Preakness Stakes, was more than just a party; it was a meaningful effort to support community development and charitable initiatives through the Rho Tau Lambda Chapter’s foundation.

The “Party with a Purpose” brought together a vibrant mix of fraternity members, city and state dignitaries, and community supporters. Attendees enjoyed engaging activities, including interactions with beautiful horses that participated in the race, live entertainment, and opportunities to network with influential leaders committed to making a difference locally and beyond.

Brothers from Eta Eta Lambda Chapter actively participated throughout the event, demonstrating our enduring commitment to community service and brotherhood. Our members contributed to various aspects of the event, from organizing activities to engaging with guests, and reinforcing our chapter’s role as leaders in service, unity, and empowerment.

The event successfully raised funds that will be allocated directly to community programs, youth initiatives, and charitable projects undertaken by Rho Tau Lambda Chapter. It was a day filled with energy, purpose, and camaraderie, reflecting the core values of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.

We are proud of our Brothers’ participation and grateful for the opportunity to support an event that brings together our fraternity, community leaders, and residents for a common cause. The Alpha Preakness event not only celebrates the spirit of competition and tradition but also reinforces our commitment to positively impacting lives.
