The Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated., proudly participated in the prestigious MAAC District Conference held on November 1-2, 2024, in Salisbury, Maryland. The weekend was filled with inspiring leadership, meaningful brotherhood, and a strong commitment to community service.

One of the highlights of the event was the recognition of Brother Andre Dillard, a past president of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter. Brother Dillard was honored as the Alpha Man of Merit for the district, an accolade that celebrates outstanding brotherhood, leadership, and service. His dedication to the fraternity and the community exemplifies the core values of Alpha Phi Alpha and reflects the positive impact of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter which has benefited from his example of selfless service.

In addition to individual honors, the conference served as a platform for strategic initiatives within the district. Brother Brian Boles delivered an address to the delegation as co-lead of the District’s brother reclamation efforts. Brother Boles emphasized the significance of the upcoming “1-9 event,” a coordinated day dedicated to brotherhood reclamation across the fraternity. This effort aims to reconnect and reinvigorate brothers who may have stepped away from active participation, strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and reaffirming the fraternity’s commitment to service and leadership.

The Eta Eta Lambda Chapter continues to demonstrate unwavering commitment to its mission and to fostering brotherhood, service, and excellence. The district conference provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our chapter’s ongoing contributions and to reaffirm our dedication to the fraternity’s legacy.

We are also incredibly proud of our chapter brother, Jason Wilder, who led a valiant campaign for MAAC President and District Director.

As we look forward to future initiatives, we remain inspired by the leadership within our District and the collective efforts of the MAAC District. Together, we are building a stronger, more unified brotherhood dedicated to making a difference in our communities.
