In December 2024, the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. demonstrated its commitment to community service and uplifting families by actively participating in the annual Toys for Tots gift packaging effort. Hosted by the Anne Arundel County Police Department and Councilman Pete Smith of Councilmanic District 1, the event aimed to bring joy and hope to the many needy families across Anne Arundel County during the holiday season.
Our brothers from Eta Eta Lambda proudly volunteered their time and efforts to assist in the gift packaging process, ensuring that each toy reached a child in need. This collaborative effort helped organize and prepare thousands of toys, which were later distributed to families throughout the county who might not otherwise experience the joy of gift-giving at Christmas.
The partnership between Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and local government organizations underscores our chapter’s dedication to service and community impact. We believe that fostering strong community ties and helping those in need aligns perfectly with our mission to develop leaders, promote brotherhood, and serve humanity.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Anne Arundel County Police Department and Councilman Pete Smith for their leadership and unwavering support of this noble cause. To all the volunteers and donors who made this effort possible, we thank you for embodying the spirit of giving and for making this holiday season brighter for countless families in our community.
Together, we can continue to build a stronger, more compassionate Anne Arundel County—one gift at a time. Happy Holidays from the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.!
