On Sunday, May 4, 2025, brothers of the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., joined forces with neighboring Alpha chapters and fellow members of the Divine Nine to take part in the annual March for Babies walk in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

The 1.5-mile walk through the Hunt Valley Towne Centre brought together community members, families, and organizations to support the March of Dimes, an organization dedicated to ensuring that every baby has the best possible start in life. The event aligns closely with Alpha Phi Alpha’s national program, Project Alpha, which promotes responsible fatherhood, health awareness, and family education.

Funds raised through the March for Babies go toward research, education, advocacy, and programs that aim to prevent preterm birth, birth defects, and infant mortality.

This year, the Eta Eta Lambda Chapter proudly raised over $2,000 in donations, contributing directly to this vital cause and furthering the fraternity’s commitment to service and community well-being.

“When we walk, we walk for families. Each step we take helps ensure a healthier future for mothers and babies across our nation.”Bro. Channing Petty - Chair, Publich Health Committee

The event was filled with positive energy and unity, showcasing what can be accomplished when service-minded organizations work together toward a shared mission of care and compassion.
